That was a great race. Lemond was a awesome bike rider, no getting around that.
Oldman - Fignon was a stud too. It is a bit unfortunate for him that he peaked at the same time Lemond did.
GL was a superb rider and really developed some cutting edge training ideas. He is one of cycling's good guys.
I would agree with Anne. He really did have a significant impact on the sport and helped make it mainstream in the US.
Today we see him and only think what a whiner.
But he was a good competitor and deserves more recognition for his accomplishments.
Yeah, Fignon. The poor bastard! He probably was the last great French rider with a shot to win the Tour and here comes Lemond to steal his glory!
