Monday

I am off to Munich tomorrow for my meeting. Since it is Oktoberfest, I would like to have a few beers served by a hot blond beer maid with huge breasts. We will see what I can find.

Off season weight training will begin in October. Is there anything more boring than lifting weights? I keep it interesting while at Gold's by making as much noise as possible and flexing in the mirror after every set.

I am going to buy a set of tubulars for racing next year at some point. I have narrowed it down to a few choices, but these are leading the pack so far.

Have a good week.

Hofbrau! I went to the one in Newport, Kentucky after the Cincinnati marathon. Much fun. Much fun.

I actually really like lifting. Do you do supersets or anything else to make it more interesting. I always find it amusing to see folks gawking at me because I use more than the pretty pink barbells!

Zipps are sweeter, but American Classic are just as round and half the price!
Hoist a few (beers) for your poor friends State side who never get to travel. Wish I could join you!
Lifting weights is for the off-season; I'm not there yet! :^)

i lift all year long. i hate it. it's so boring. but helps when you're skinny.

i wonder though - you have pretty good power. you're really doing the weights for the winter?

I think I'm going to start lifting in December. For now, I'm sprinting up hills on my commute. Heavy bike+heavy pack = bigger legs already.

First of all, have a great trip! I can't believe how much you travel - it's awe inspiring.

Secondly, did someone else write the previous entry, cuz you (or whoever) just said this: "drinking way too much booze, and not exercising enough. That shit has to change this week."

You crack me up!! Enjoy some beers, it's the off season.

Blue - you killed my fantasy. 70??

Cyndy- not really, but I would be cooler if I were.

Mallie - regardless of my approach, I still find it boring. Do you have gloves and a belt too?? :)

Oldman - I agree on the Zipps. But AC I think are great bang for the buck.

Lauren - that is the plan.

Bryan - get a cart or seat for the boy in a year. Those things are like dragging a log behind you.

Eclect - ok. I didn't get the boozing to stop this week, so next week is the goal! :)

I love the Zipps, but they are only for the Rich. AC is the common mans sweet carbon goodness!

Nope...gloves are for dorks. Calluses are good! And belts are for pec and bicep only wanna-bes who use the squat rack for curls!

Muahahahahaha

Chris,

I have had a friend at my LBS saying that AC have been having probs with their hubs (unless you choose to guy phil wood or something)

You should also look into HED tubulars. If you want bang for the buck. I bought a set of awesome Jet's for 1000, and they get me flying downhill at 50mph! http://www.hedcycling.com/
