Thursday

I was in Charlotte, NC the first 3 days of this week. I have one more trip next week to MI and MN and then a few weeks in town. That will be 5 weeks in a row getting on a plane. Sigh.

This sucks. Be safe out there folks.

Here comes the cheese. #4 on the list of "Top 10 Cheesiest Songs of All Time That You Probably Like But Won't Admit It." From 1974 here is John Denver's Thank God I'm a Country Boy.

OMG Chris, that photo is just devastating.

Please be careful out there!

As for JD, I'll have to wait till I get home to hear him (it's been awhile)...

Have a great weekend!!

I am a bit of a country boy and know a few. Mr. JD, your no country boy! :^)
Hated that song when they played it endlessly on the radio back then. Of course, we didn't have walkmans or discmans or iPodmans to listen to so we were stuck with JD every 20 minutes. Ah, the good ol' days!
Your going to be in MI? You had damn well better call me and find a way for us to have a Blueberry Ale together. Let me know.
I saw the photo earlier; sad and scary. Be safe.

There's no way I'm clicking that YouTube link. No way. Have no need of a 5 day ear worm. Omigod. I think even without actually listening to it, it's entering my head. Aarrg.

Before he wuz a singer, JD had a good rep as a songwriter. And one of his seems to describe your life of late: Leaving on a Jet Plane.

One thing CNN and most of the US media left out of the story about the crash in Mexico is that the driver had to swerve around a police escort to hit the cyclists. Scary.

Blue - I can see right through that. You are a JD lover!

Lily - you should post a pic of you and those glasses.

Oldman - just to Detriot for 1 night and then off to Minn. I had a Breckenridge Vanilla yesterday that you would probably like.

Syd - You singing "Country Boy" would be like me singing "Material Girl."

Rick - That makes my case for putting the guy in jail until the jail rots and then moving him to another jail until that jail rots.

Neese - glad you like #4 on the list :)

Bummer. Thought maybe we could get a ride in this time!
Breckenridge is one of my favorite brews; I will have to be on the lookout for that one.

Ahhh... make it stop! I didn't even click on the video and I'm singing the damn song in my head now. When I go home to take my power nap... it had better be gone! Charlotte huh? Do you ever get to Raleigh?
