Wednesday

Work this week has been busy, but otherwise free of crises. I have been in the office for two weeks which for me is a long time. The trip to Washington next week will help break up the office monotony.

I am watching American Idol and there is a ketchup advert where some skinny fucker is dipping onion rings and fries. Man, I miss eating that stuff on occasion. No way am I going back to that life, but I still miss it. I have gone through the past 4 months basically hungry most of the time and I suspect that it will be that way for a few more months.

I went to Gold's tonight for my several time a week light weights and stretching. Why is it the stretching part that I really hate? It seems like the endless sit ups and back extensions, and blah blah blah are what I should hate.

I was doing some light leg work today and tweaked my leg a bit (see picture). I should be fine for the Crit tomorrow.

Crit tomorrow night. Time to "Cowboy Up" and improve. I will post a report tomorrow night or Friday.

I'm with you on the "hating stretching" thing. I don't know why it's so hard. I always promise myself that I will do it at night in front of the TV, and it never happens. I always just end up sitting there instead.

American Idol? Come on Man! Do not justify that abomination by giving it 1 more minute of your time. You must now do penance: 30 minutes of Skynard should do the trick. Or even the Allman Brothers.
I don't stretch; it hurts too much!
Don't forget your crash pads tomorrow! :^) Good luck.

Ouch! That picture is horrible!

You shouldn't have to starve yourself. Pick foods low on the glycemic index, and snack on those. Foods with good fats (nuts, seeds, avocados, etc.) might make you feel more full too.

Danielle - LOOK INTO MY EYES. YOU ARE NOW A ROADIE. YOU HATE THE DIRT BECAUSE IT IS DIRTY. YOU LOVE CARS AND ASPHALT. lol

Oldman - did I say American Idol? I meant Head Bangers Ball.

Jeff - if honestly find that for me, running a large calorie deficit works best for losing weight. If I start snacking on anything, I will eat too much of it, good or bad for me.

people - don't trash the american idol. it's my guilty pleasure instead of fries and onion rings. simon kissing lekisha this week...priceless! personally, i prefer songwriters to plain old singers, but that is pure entertainment right there (especially now that they got rid of sanjaya the torture machine)....

back to cycling content - stick to the wheel in front of you like a madman tonight, chris! good luck.

I would go crazy like a caged animal if I had to do a calorie deficit for too long. Say 4 hours, tops...

There are worse things that can happen to you while watching American Idol; check out the April 26journal entry of DB.

Chris, you had to mention fries and onion rings while I am sitting here starving. Bad idea; I might just chew off the arm of a co-worker.

And dude, get to the line early, start on the front row, and find a good wheel to suck.

Chatterbox - I agree the Sanjaya was almost torture. I wonder if he lasted that long because of that Vote for the Worst thing that Howard Stern was pushing. Anyway, GOOD RIDANCE to Sanjaya!

Oldman - now you are talking. I do believe I have some old Pantera CDs around here somewhere.

Lauren - it is not as bad as it looks. I just walked it off.

Rick - I feel your pain. Why is it that everything that tastes good is bad for you?

Lining up early worked well tonight. Race report to follow tomorrow.

that pic. eww. Good job on holding the french fry line... (or onion rings in this case). Like you, once I start on something, it's hard to stop.

Can't wait to read the race report.

ACK! That's gotta hurt.

As for stretching, have you read any of the most recent studies? Yeah - stretching is crap and doesn't do nuttin' much.

So if you decide to skip - no big.
